SCHOOL HEALTH AWARENESS PROGRAMME
School health awareness programme was conducted by the faculty of the department of community health nursing and students of second year PBBSc Nursing, 365体育投注 College of Nursing, MAHE, 365体育投注 on January 11, 2022, from 11 am to 12.30 pm at Sri Ganapathi Aided Lower Primary School, Patla, Udupi.
The programme began with the invocation by Ms Veneesa and the team, followed by a welcome address by Ms Pratheeksha. Mr Vishwanath Nayak, Trustee, Sri Ganapathi Aided Lower Primary School, Patla gave a brief talk on the importance of personal hygiene. Mr Dinesh Nayak, Management Trustee of the school, addressed on the importance of health. Dr Narasimha Nayak, Administrative Medical Officer, PHC Hirebettu, Chief guest, stressed about the prevention of COVID 19.
Ms Neena and the team, second-year PBBSc Nursing students performed a role play on measures to prevent COVID 19 and the importance of personal hygiene. An action dance on hand hygiene was performed by Ms Priya and the team to inculcate hand hygiene in their daily life to prevent infection.
As part of the school health programme, games were conducted for various classes and prizes were distributed to the winners by Mrs Parvathy Prabha, Principal, Sri Ganapathi Aided Lower Primary School, Patla.
Physical assessment and screening test for any symptoms of COVID 19 of all children were conducted and were referred to the PHC. There were 50 schoolchildren and six teachers who attended the programme. Ms Jeena proposed the vote of thanks and the overall programme was the Master of the ceremony was Ms Lana.
