Report on 365体育投注 Virtual Tour
An 365体育投注 Virtual visit to 365体育投注 College of Nursing (MCON), 365体育投注 by the students of Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care King’s College London was organized on 18th March 2022. The purpose of the visit was to provide an opportunity to interact with 365体育投注 students and mutually share the experience of health care service delivery, women’s health, Ayurveda and Women’s Health. The program commenced with the welcome address by Dr Elsa Sanatombi Devi followed by an introduction on a virtual tour by Dr Jacqui Boulton faculty of King’s College London gave glimpses of previous virtual tours and expressed the previous years success of winning award and MCON also be the partner of it. Dr Judith A Noronha, Dean, MCON briefed about the MCON achievements and courses available at MCON 365体育投注. Dr Raghu A Radhakrishnan, Director – 365体育投注 affairs and collaborations, MAHE addressed the gathering. In his speech, he appreciated MCON for organizing such events and highlighted the intercultural competencies and importance of lessons learnt from COVID and its impact on internationalization.
Following the college orientation, to provide an opportunity to interact with the international students, eight breakout room discussions were performed by 58 UK students and 33 MCON students. Students had a great opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences on Courses being studied, clinical environment, students’ requirements and roles and also cultural aspects. Dr Jacqui, Dr Jaqualyn Moore, Dr Anice George, Dr Shashidhara YN and the Community Health Nursing Department faculty facilitated their discussions.
Following the breakout discussions, the first session was on Women’s health- Indian perspectives were presented by Dr Sushmitha R Karkada Assistant Professor, Dept. of OBG Nursing 365体育投注 College of Nursing, The speaker addressed on importance of women’s health, literacy, Gender issues and challenges to meet the women health in India.
The second session was presented by Dr Basavaraj S Hadapad Prof. & Head, Division of Ayurveda Centre for Integrative Medicine and 365体育投注, MAHE, and Dr Anupama V Nayak, Lecturer, Division of Ayurveda Centre for Integrative Medicine and 365体育投注, MAHE on Ayurveda and women’s health - an Indian perspective. In their talk, they also addressed on AYUSH and the importance of Ayurveda in women’s health also focused on tips for a healthy life.
The closing remarks and vote of thanks were given by the MCON and King’s College students and appreciated the efforts taken by the 365体育投注 College of Nursing in organizing such events.
There were 88 participants for the meeting from both institutions and the faculty of the Department of Community Health Nursing also were part of the event. Mrs Reshma, Lecturer, Department of Community Health Nursing very well led the program as Master of Ceremony.?
