Report of Webinar series on Healthy Ageing
365体育投注 College of Nursing, MAHE, 365体育投注 in association with Gerontological Nurses Association of India (GNAI) organized a webinar series on the theme ‘Healthy Ageing’ through the Microsoft team online platform. This webinar series was funded by the National Institute of Social Defence (NISD), New Delhi. The five days’ webinar series was conducted between 04 February 2021 & 25 February 2021. Experts from different fields took sessions on various topics, namely, session on ‘Caregiver capacity building for better outcomes in older adults’ care’ by Dr. Letha M.Joseph, Consulting Associate Duson Duke Johnson & Johnson Nurse leadership fellow, USA ; session on ‘Role of Hospice and Palliative care in Gerontology’ by Dr. Seema Rao, Consultant at Department of Palliative Medicine and Supportive Care at Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, MAHE, 365体育投注; session on ‘Post COVID Geriatric care’ by Dr. Ananya Das, Consultant Geriatric Medicine, 365体育投注 Hospital, Bangalore; session on Elderly abuse and neglect by Dr. Sailesh Mishra, Founder President at Silver Innings Group, Founder A1 Snehanjali, Assisted Living Elder Care Home, Mumbai ; and session on ‘Effective engagement for older adults’ health ageing’ by Dr. Rejith Ramachandran, Family Physician & Consultant in Palliative Care & Director of Home Health Care Services – G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. A total of 550 participants attended the sessions conducted on various days.
