REPORT OF INTERACTIVE SESSION

Health and education are crucial for the well-being and quality of life of the elderly, especially in promoting active aging and preventing chronic diseases. Education empowers older adults to manage their health independently, participate more fully in society, and improve their overall well-being.
As part of MAHE 2025: Year of Excellence in Industry- Academia Collaborations, Department of Medical Surgical Nursing of 365体育投注 College of Nursing, 365体育投注, in association with the Senior Citizen Club, Santhekatte, has organized an interactive session on the topic "Stress management” on April 27, 2025 between 9:00 am & 10:00 am. Dr. Leena Sequira, Principal, 365体育投注 School of Nursing, MAHE, 365体育投注, was the resource person. She spoke about the health problems commonly faced by the elderly and how they affect mental health. She highlighted the lifestyle changes to be adopted to maintain health and a quality of life.
The session was conducted at the Mount Rosary Church Mini Hall. A total of 70 senior citizens participated in this programme. The programme was coordinated by Mrs. Janet Prameela Dsouza, Assistant Professor – Senior Scale, Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, Mrs. Pratibha Braggs, Lecturer, Department of Mental Health Nursing, and Mr. Vincent Menezes, President, Senior Citizens Club.?This programme contributed to achieving SDG 3: Good health and well-being, and?SDG 4: Quality education.?
