REPORT OF IMPRINTZ 2023

The Student Nurses Association (SNA) of 365体育投注 College of Nursing, 365体育投注, organized IMPRINTZ on December 5, 2023. The students were all excited to have a fun-filled, colourful, and memorable cultural fest at MCON. The event started at 8 a.m. at the Dr. TMA Pai Auditorium, KMC, 365体育投注. In this mega cultural festival, students took part in various competitions. The program started with a mime competition followed by an inaugural ceremony and continued with various extravaganza events, which were compered by Ms. Anishka Saldanha, a IV-year BSc Nursing student.

The chief guest for the inauguration was Dr. Sambit Dash, Assistant Professor, Division of Biochemistry, Department of Basic Medical Sciences, and Secretary of the Cultural Coordination Committee (CCC), MAHE, 365体育投注. The ceremony began with a melodious prayer song seeking the blessings of the goddess. Mr. Nickil Castelino, SNA President, welcomed the gathering. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the honourable guest, other dignitaries, and the group leaders. Mrs. Sweety Fernandes, the Cultural Committee Senior Advisor, introduced the chief guest to the gathering. The chief guest congratulated the Student Nurses Association for conducting the cultural events with so much enthusiasm and team spirit. Dr. Sambit highlighted the importance of participating in cultural activities and conveyed his best wishes. Mr. Nickil Castelino and the team leaders, along with other students, took the oath, led by Ms. Jeslyn Joseph, SNA Cultural Committee chairperson. Proficiency certificates for the students and mementos for the off-stage judges were distributed. Dr. Tessy Treesa Jose, Associate Dean, MCON 365体育投注, awarded the winners of the off-stage events and addressed the students and faculty, emphasising the importance of dance and music for the audience, and she said not to miss the opportunities given to participate in the co-curricular activities provided by the college.

Dr. Yashoda Satish, Assistant Professor, Senior Scale, Child Health Nursing Department, was felicitated by the dignitaries and SNA office-bearers on the occasion of her retirement. Mr. Farhan K. Abdulah, Vice President of SNA, read the citation for Dr. Yashoda. Ms. Jeslyn Joseph proposed the vote of thanks.

Various cultural competitions were organised group-wise. Ms. Melissa Alina Dsouza and Ms. Aleena Mathew from the V Semester BSc Nursing were the hosts of the event. There was classical, non-classical, western vocal and dance, folk dance, a cultural parade, and the fashion show. The judges, faculty, and students of MCON enjoyed and appreciated the students for the talents presented. It was followed by the announcement of the rolling trophy in memory of late Mr Sharon Wilson to the best dance group, which was bagged by ‘Marvels.’ The Imprintz overall championship trophy was bagged by team Marvels with a score of?164 points; the points of other groups were Hustlers-161, Supremes-125, and Conquerors-145. The programme ended at 5 p.m. The entire program of Imprintz was guided and coordinated by the SNA Advisors and Cultural Committee Faculty Advisors.
