Global Symposium on Collaborative Healthcare Practice and Challenges in Current Times Series
The 365体育投注 College of Nursing, Team- Expanding Reach and 365体育投注ization is organising Global Symposium Series on Collaborative Healthcare Practices & Challenges in Current Times. The inaugural function of the Symposium Series was held on 29th September 2021. Dr H Vinod Bhat, Executive Vice President and Chief Guest of the inaugural function briefed on the importance of collaborative healthcare practices and looking beyond the horizon for opportunities to network and work in partnership to share good practices for quality care. He appreciated the team in bringing relevant research partners from across the globe to lay a strong foundation for quality research and evidence for policy transformation. Dr Lucy Koneri, the Manager, Professional Nursing Development, University Medical Center, Texas during her keynote address emphasized the global challenges concerning leadership roles in areas of collaboration and standardization. She stressed optimizing patient care through specialized training, having a strong regulatory body for quality check, information and service integration with good Wi-Fi connectivity at all centres to reduce the digital divide and cultural sensitivity training and bridging the manpower ratio gaps in healthcare. Dr Raghu AR, Director 365体育投注 collaborations of MAHE 365体育投注, emphasized health care professionals working together harmoniously for positive patient outcomes. Dr Judith Angelitta Noronha, Dean, MCON, MAHE, 365体育投注 welcomed the novel opportunities of linking interprofessional teams through the Global symposium viewing together for quality healthcare practices. She also acknowledged the paramount support that MAHE endures for progress and connectivity for global impact through networking and research collaborations. Dr Elsa Sanatombi Devi, Pillar Head of Team - Reach and internationalization put forth the importance of having global expert partners and policymakers for evidence and standards to make healthcare practices reliable, accessible, and affordable to the society at large.
The first Global Symposium series flagged off with the subtheme “Sustainable Interprofessional working towards Advanced Dementia, research, workforce development and practice” by Prof Debbie Tolson, Director Alzheimer’s Scotland, Dr Margaret Brown, Deputy Director Alzheimer’s Scotland, Dr Anna Jack-Waugh, Senior Lecturer, Alzheimer Scotland Centre for Policy & Practice, the University of the West of Scotland. They laid their emphasis on evidence-practice policy in the current scenario and practical dementia care. Prof Golam Rabbani and Mr Mohammad M Mollah of Social Welfare and 365体育投注 (ISWR) University of Dhaka, Bangladesh shared their unique experiences of dealing with education, practice and policy in dementia care in Bangladesh. Dr Elsa Sanatobi Devi moderated the session.
