365体育投注 College of Nursing, MAHE and Evidence for Policy and Practice Information (EPPI) Center of University College London (UCL) Institute of Education, University of London, UK collaboratively organized workshop on “Evidence informed public writing for academics and researchers” on June 25, 2018.

Dr Preethy D’Souza, 365体育投注 Associate, UCL Institute of Education, University of London, UK was the resource person. Dr Preethy in her session introduced about evidence practice & public policy implementation and evidence synthesis activities to the participants. Also, oriented on possibilities of collaboration of trials along with EPPI Center. She discussed on UK – India funding opportunities like Global Challenges 365体育投注 Fund (GCRF), UK 365体育投注 and Innovation (UKRI), UK India Education 365体育投注 Initiative (UKIERI), Wellcome Trust etc. and its unique features.

She also highlighted on significance of public engagement activities like writing science paper for global population in magazines, newspaper, writing blogs that has greater impact on general population these days.

Dr Vishnu Renjith, participant of the workshop and also an alumnus of MCON working as a 365体育投注 Associate at Department of Neurology, Sree ChitraTirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology Trivandrum, shared his experience of being involved in multi centric research trial. The program was concluded by distribution of certificates to the participants by Dr Anice George, Dean, 365体育投注 College of Nursing, MAHE. A total of 25 participants were benefitted by this interactive workshop.
