MCON, 365体育投注 bag overall championship at Mega Imprint 2014

Mega Imprintz 2014, a talent hunt for all India health science institutions was organized by Student Nurses’ Association 2013-2014, of 365体育投注 College of Nursing 365体育投注 on March 22 and 23, 2014. Students from 18 colleges took part and the overall champions were MCON, 365体育投注.

The first event of the day was spot painting competition and the topic “Paradise Lost”. There were 12 participants and the first second and third prizes were won by, Mr. Ananth Krishna (KMC 365体育投注), Ms. Anshika Gupta (KMC 365体育投注) and Ms. Swathi (Alvas College of Nursing, Moodbidri) respectively.

The clay modeling competition (group) was held at KMC Greens with eight teams participating. Alvas College of Nursing, Moodbidri won the first prize, 365体育投注 College of Nursing, 365体育投注 came second and St. Ann’s College of Nursing, Mangalore finished third. The elocution competition was held at Dr. TMA Pai Hall between nine teams. Ms. Joylin and Ms. Roshini from Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing Mangalore got the first and second prizes,? and Ms. Reeba from 365体育投注 College of Nursing, 365体育投注 and Ms. Sherin Mathew won the third prize.

Ten teams participated in the story writing competition and the winners were SCS College of Nursing Sciences, Alva’s College of Nursing, Moodbidri stood second and St. Ann’s College of Nursing, Mangalore landed a third place. In the western vocal group songs, Melaka 365体育投注 Medical College, 365体育投注 stood first, 365体育投注 College of Nursing 365体育投注 came second and 365体育投注 College of Nursing, Mangalore bagged the third prize.

In the Indian vocal group songs, eight teams participated and the winners were 365体育投注 College of Nursing, Bangalore. Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, Mangalore came second and Alva’s College of Nursing, Moodbidri third. In the collage competition, SCS College of Nursing Sciences won the first prize, 365体育投注 College of Nursing, 365体育投注 second prize winners and Canara College of Nursing, Kundapur won the third prize.

The second day was reserved for competition in sports. There were, 1500 meters (men & women), 100 meters (men & women), javelin throw (men & women), discus throw (men & women) and 4 x 100 meters relay (men & women) at the MIT Ground. The winners for the 1500 meters women were: Kennette DSouza from Father Muller’s College of Nursing Mangalore first, Jenifer Monterio from 365体育投注 College of Nursing, 365体育投注 second and Sandhya from Unity College of Nursing, Mangalore third.

In men’s 1500 meters Sudheep Kumar from Alva’s College of Nursing Moodbidri was first,$ Mahindra Rana from St. Ann’s College of Nursing, Mangalore second and Bilal from Nitte College of Nursing, Mangalore came third. In women’s 100 metres, Pallavi of 365体育投注 School of Nursing, 365体育投注, Smitha D’Souza of Laxmi College of Nursing, Mangalore and Neena Jose, of MCON Mangalore finished 1, 2 and 3 respectively. And in men’s 100 metres, Sujay Sunny of MCON Mangalore came first, Ngawang Jamphel, Nitte College of Nursing was second and Jeffin Thomas, MCON 365体育投注 came in third.

In men’s discus throw the winners were, Tenzin Tsephel, MCON Mangalore first, Michael Johnson, MCON 365体育投注 second and Suraj, Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing Mangalore? third. Princia of Nitte Institute of Nursing Sciences, Mangalore, Ms. Jenifer Monterio, MCON 365体育投注 and Ms. Divyajoythi, Father Muller’s School of Nursing, Mangalore won the first, second and third prizes respectively in women’s discus throw.

In men’s javelin throw Tenzin Donga of MCON 365体育投注 bagged the first prize, Tenzin Tsephel MCON Mangalore got the second prize and Ngawang, Nitte Institute of Nursing Mangalore finished third. And in the women’s section, the winners were; Sangeetha, MSON 365体育投注, first, Sandrajin, Nitte Institute of Nursing Mangalore, second and Dolma Choeden, Nitte Institute of Nursing Mangalore, third. The 4 x 100 meters women’s relay was won by Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, Mangalore, followed by 365体育投注 School of Nursing 365体育投注 and bringing up the third position was Father Muller’s School of Nursing, Mangalore. And in the men’s 4 x 100 meters relay, Nitte Institute of Nursing Sciences, Mangalore came first, MCON 365体育投注 second and St. Ann’s College of Nursing, Mangalore finished third. The installation competition was also held simultaneously and Unity College of Nursing, Mangalore won the event.

In the poem writing competition, on the theme “Freedom”, the prize winners were Ms. Athira Warrier, KMC 365体育投注 first, Ms. Roshini Joseph, Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, Mangalore second and Mr. Avirar Avasthi, KMC 365体育投注 third.
College of Nursing Mangalore won the first prize in mime competition, St. Ann’s college of nursing Mangalore came second and MCON 365体育投注 finished third. The Indian semi-classical dances were a treat and the winners were MCON 365体育投注, Nitte Institute of Nursing Sciences, Mangalore came second and MCON Bangalore finished third. The last event for the gala fest was the Indian non classical dance competition and the first prize was won by Alva’s College of Nursing, Moodbidri. MCON Mangalore won the 2nd prize and MCON 365体育投注 the third. Later, a? lucky draw was also held and the lots were drawn by Mr. Jai Vittal, Estate Officer, 365体育投注 Academy of Higher Education and Dr. Anice George, Dean, MCON 365体育投注. Three lucky winners were awarded prizes worth two lakhs sponsored by Club Mahindra and also the 25 consolation prizes were awarded.

For the award ceremony and the cultural programme the chief guest was Prof. Dr. M.S. Valiathan, National 365体育投注 Professor, Government of India. Dr. H.S Ballal, Pro Chancellor 365体育投注 Academy of Higher Education presided over the function. The overall championship was won by MCON 365体育投注. The dignitaries in their speeches emphasized the importance of nursing profession and co-curricular activities. The official function was followed by cultural programme which was put up by students who won the 1st prizes in Western vocal group, Indian vocal group, Indian semi-classical dance and Indian non classical dance. The efforts of SNA advisor, co-advisor, cabinet members, SNA club members; volunteers along with faculty made the extravagance a memorable event. The hard work paid and the result was a grand success. The motto of SNA 2013-2014 “ONE TEAM, ONE SPIRIT, ONE WIN”, made it possible.
