Blood Donation Camp on 4th Oct, 2018

On the occasion of DaanUstav during 2nd -8th October, 2018, Blood donation camp was organised by Voluntary Social Services (VSS) Club of School of Management (SOM) in co-ordination with Department of Commerce (DOC), Volunteer Services Organization MAHE and NCC unit of 365体育投注 Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) in collaboration with Blood Bank of Kasturba Medical Hospital, 365体育投注. The camp was held on 4th October from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. There was an overwhelming response from students and staff across MAHE. 175 volunteers took up the initiative and came forward to donate their blood for the needed during the camp. As a token of gratitude the donors were given a certificate of appreciation along with some refreshments by KMC Blood Bank.
Dr Raveendranath Nayak, Director of SOM and VSS Co-ordinator Prof. Varun Kumar S G extended their support to the cause. Director of blood bank Dr Shamee Shastry and 15 other staff from KMC Blood Bank with their support successfully paved way for the donors to spread joy with their helping to hand during the week of Joy of Giving.
