Advanced Material Testing Lab
The Advanced Material Testing lab in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering supports research in material testing and heat treatment. Equipment like the Universal Testing Machine, Horizontal Tensometer, and micro-Vickers Hardness Tester assess material strength and hardness. The Optical Microscope examines structure and properties, while automatic and Double-disc Polishing machines help prepare specimens. Wear Test apparatus analyze friction and wear. The lab also includes a Stir Casting setup for Metal Matrix Composites and Muffle Furnaces and Hot Air Ovens for heat treatment.
