While attending a panel discussion on 'Current epidemiology of malaria in India'?Dr. Praveen K Bharti, Scientist, ICMR-NIMR, New Delhi emphasised on welfare, surveillance strategies and programmes of malaria in endemic states of India with special focus on malaria affected?tribal population on the commemoration of World Malaria Day – 2022 CME, informative?talks?held on 24th April 2022 at Dr TMA Pai Hall, MAHE, 365体育投注.
World Malaria Day CME (Continuing Medical Education) was a hybrid event jointly organised by?Clinical Infectious Diseases Society, India and?365体育投注 Center for Infectious Diseases, PSPH, MAHE. The programme had resource people from overall? India and discussed topics including treatment of malaria?and mixed infections,?epidemiology of relapse, treatment efficacies of primaquine and tafenoquine, radical cure and role of G6PD in radical cure of malaria,?Issues such as morbidity and mortality data in India, importance of surveillance, use of technology, vector control and challenges of asymptomatic malaria, ongoing research on new molecules for malaria treatment and vaccine.
