Team Samarpan, representing?365体育投注 School of Architecture and Planning (MSAP)?in collaboration with?365体育投注 Institute of Technology (MIT), secured the?Runner-Up?position in the?Office Division?of?Solar Decathlon India 2024–25, held at Mysuru.

The team designed a proposal titled?“GARUD – KSRTC Transport Hub cum Divisional Office, Mangaluru”?— a climate-responsive, net-zero public infrastructure project that reimagines the existing KSRTC terminal as a functional, inclusive, and sustainable transit-oriented development.

Key features include:

• Two-level terminal design?doubling platform capacity
• Smart mobility integration?with IOT-based roads
• Passive cooling?through stack, venturi and cross ventilation
• Sustainable materials?like Agrocrete, GGBS concrete, terracotta, Vedic plaster
• Double-skin facades, green balconies, and?CFD/daylight simulations
• A pragmatic?Public-Private Partnership (PPP)?implementation model

The project balances energy efficiency, user experience, cost feasibility, and long-term resilience — aligning with SDG Goals and India's Smart City mission.
