Comparative study to assess the Awareness on Vitamin supplementation and its utilization among the mothers of under-five children between urban and rural areas of Udupi district

The study was done to assess the awareness of Mothers regarding Vitamin supplementation and to assess the utilization of vitamin supplementation between urban and rural villages.
2. A descriptive study was done to assess the risk factors, signs and symptoms varicose veins among security guards.
A cross sectional study was done among 150 security guards working in Udupi district with a minimum one year of service as security guard was included in the study. Samples were selected by systematic random sampling. Interview method was used to identify the risk factors of varicose veins among the security guards
Quality of life of people with non-communicable diseases

Purpose of the study was to identify the quality of life of people living with non communicable diseases. The study will be helpful to provide need based care and to develop strategies to improve quality of life of community. Methods: A descriptive survey to assess the quality of life of people with non-communicable diseases measured by using WHO QOL BREF scale through interview method. Purposive sampling technique was used to select 200 subjects from selected villages of Udupi District.
Effectiveness of community participation on Knowledge of selected vector borne disease among self help groups

The study is conducted to assess the effect of community participation on knowledge of selected vector borne diseases among the self help groups. The sample include eight self help groups having 10 members each, with 40 in the experimental and control group each. 365体育投注 approach was quantitative-evaluative approach and design used was quasi experimental pre test post test control group design. The study was carried out in two phases. In the first phase, the health teaching by the researcher was given to selected members of self help groups with a duration of 45 minutes and in the phase 2, these trained members gave health teaching to the other members of the self-help groups.
